Ethena [ENA] rallied to a new local high of $0.09 as broader market sentiment turned bullish. However, on-chain activity did not fully match the price move.
Capital inflows improved, but Earnings and Daily Active Users continued to lag. This left ENA’s rally facing a narrower question: Was fresh demand broadening or concentrating among existing users?
Are Ethena inflows supporting ENA?
Ethena’s price rally received some support from Total Value Locked (TVL). TVL measures assets deposited into a protocol and can indicate changing investor confidence.
According to DeFiLlama, TVL gained $114 million between the 18th of August and press time. That pushed Ethena’s Total Value Locked to $4.398 billion.

The increase suggested investors were depositing assets for yield opportunities and potential price upside. However, the inflow remained modest against the size of Ethena’s existing TVL.
Capital entered the protocol, but the increase stopped short of confirming broad conviction.
Are Ethena earnings lagging ENA?
Ethena’s Earnings fell to $136,000 during the first 19 days of August. Earnings represent gross profit after incentives. The metric declined from $709,000 in May, extending its broader downtrend.
That weakness may help explain why TVL growth remained measured.

Fees created another warning.
Ethena generated $3.67 million in Fees over seven days, but only $84.11 during the latest 24 hours. If protocol income continues lagging price, traders could question whether ENA’s rally has outrun its underlying economics.
Who drove Ethena’s $214M deposits?
Artemis recorded Net Deposits at a new high of $214 million. However, the source of this capital remained unclear because user growth failed to match the surge.
Daily Active Users stood at 1,400, down from 2,700 on the 7th of August.

This divergence suggested existing users increased deposits, or a small group provided most of the capital.
Either possibility shifts the story from adoption growth toward capital concentration. For now, ENA’s outlook remained bullish, but stronger Earnings and user activity would provide broader confirmation. Ethena attracted more money without attracting more users. That may become the rally’s most revealing signal.
Final Summary
- ENA reached $0.09 as Ethena’s Total Value Locked increased by $114 million.
- Ethena’s Earnings and latest daily Fees remained weak despite the price rally.
