The U.S. Supreme Court won’t take a student-speech case involving an Indiana high school that stopped a student pro-life club from putting up flyers that included the words, “Defund Planned Parenthood,” reported CBS News and other news outlets.

“The dispute involved the scope of students’ free-speech rights and schools’ ability to restrict expression that could be viewed as reflecting their endorsement,” CBS News reported.

The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had ruled in favor of Noblesville High School. Its decision remains intact after the Supreme Court’s refusal to take the case.

The high court, with Associate Justice Samuel Alito dissenting, announced the denial of certiorari in E.D. v. Noblesville School District on June 15.
