XRP & XLM Face a Make-or-Break Support After Sell-off

A popular financial analyst tracking XRP and XLM says both tokens have reached price zones that could determine their direction over the coming weeks, following a broader crypto-market decline tied to U.S. inflation data and Federal Reserve expectations.

XRP was trading near $1.32 after falling 5.13% over 24 hours, while XLM had declined 4.54%. Tyler Hill, the analyst, stressed that the weakness was not specific to either token: Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, Solana, Tron and Dogecoin were also lower, with Zcash down roughly 11% at the time discussed.

PPI data shifts attention back to the Fed

The crypto pullback followed the release of U.S. Producer Price Index data, which the analyst said arrived in line with Wall Street expectations. Markets had apparently priced in some chance of a softer-than-expected reading that could reduce the likelihood of a Federal Reserve rate hike at the upcoming FOMC meeting.

Instead, the data reinforced concerns that tighter monetary policy remains likely. โ€œThe whole entire marketโ€ is now factoring in a potential Fed move to constrain liquidity, the host said, pointing to a red day across equities as well as crypto.

Several near-term catalysts could still alter that calculation: CPI data expected Friday, a reported Clarity Act vote on Tuesday, and the FOMC meeting on Wednesday. The analyst called the resulting setup a โ€œcoin flip,โ€ arguing that the combined market reaction is difficult to forecast.

XRPโ€™s $1.31 support zone is under pressure

For XRP, the key area sits between roughly $1.31 and $1.34. The analyst said a bounce from that range, supported by renewed bullish divergence, could put the token back on course to test resistance near $1.50 and potentially higher trend levels.

A decisive break below the zone, however, could send XRP toward a โ€œgolden zoneโ€ between about $1.22 and $1.11 โ€” a potential decline of around 10% to 18% from the levels discussed. Tyler Hill described XRP as being โ€œon the edge of a cliff,โ€ with the next 24 to 48 hours potentially shaping its short-term price trend.

XLM faces a similar test around $0.175 to $0.171. If that liquidity area holds, the seasoned analyst sees room for a rebound toward $0.195. A failure could expose lower support between approximately $0.165 and $0.15.

In a nutshell, Tyler Hillโ€™s view is that both XRP and XLM are showing healthier support behavior than in prior bear-market declines, but that view depends on these support levels holding while markets digest inflation & regulatory events.
