Ripple’s Kansas partnership
The XRP branding is now visibly integrated into Kansas football as part of the university’s recently announced partnership with Ripple.
Kansas Athletics announced a multi-year partnership with Ripple in July, making XRP a prominent part of the university’s sports branding.
XRP jersey patches are being featured on uniforms across all Kansas Athletics teams under this agreement.
Kansas said this is the first time a cryptocurrency has been integrated into the jerseys of a major college athletics program.
The partnership was arranged together with Jayhawk Sports Properties, the local division of college sports media company Learfield.
The partnership goes beyond simply placing the XRP logo on football jerseys.
Ripple will also support financial and technology education programs for Kansas student-athletes and the wider campus community. It is also expected to expand a talent pipeline connecting Kansas graduates with technology-sector career opportunities.
Notably, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is a Kansas alumnus and a native of Topeka, Kansas.
XRP’s presence in Kansas has already expanded further. On Sept. 2, Kansas Athletics launched the Rock Chalk Fan Club, an online fan community described as being “championed by XRP.” The platform gives members access to exclusive content, merchandise opportunities, and other benefits.
Ripple expands into Florida
Kansas is also no longer Ripple’s only major college-sports partnership.
On Sept. 4, as reported by U.Today, Florida Athletics announced its own multi-year agreement with Ripple to bring XRP branding to the Florida Gators starting with the 2026 football season.
The XRP logo has been placed prominently on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
XRP branding is also set to appear across Florida Athletics’ digital properties; Ripple will additionally support financial and technology education for Florida student-athletes.
