XRP’s price appears to be breaking out on the one-hour charts. Popular crypto chart analyst Ali Martinez is now measuring the odds of an upward XRP price move towards the apex of the triangle. With a 4.65% uptick in 24 hours, the OG altcoin is building the biggest green daily candle since August 23, 2026, according to CoinGecko.
XRP’s Carved Path To ‘The Apex’ Of This Triangle
This echoes Ali’s previous analysis, where he stated a daily close above would open the doors for a rally towards $1.60. XRP seems to have already started that ascension. XRP hit the intra-day highs of $1.41 following a descending triangle breakout. The altcoin compressed at $1.31–$1.35 support during last week’s consolidation.

Ali’s technical setup references a triangle pattern apex, with the breakout amid declining active addresses potentially signaling reduced selling pressure and extra room for upside. For the $1.60 near-term target to come sooner, big-time buyers at the $1.40 range must step in due to the confluent resistance at this range.
XRP Scorches Past Double EMA: Are Whales Back?
Based on the 4-hour XRP price charts, it looks like crypto whales have been convinced that the bottom has arrived. On Monday, the Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) flipped back to positive areas again as the indicator is now flashing +0.08. Presently, XRP’s trading roughly two cents above the Double Exponential Moving Average (EMA).

The broader belief in XRP’s descending triangle breakout is also evident on Futures markets. Leveraged traders have added $2.86 billion in trading volume, pushing this metric up by 93.36% in the 24-hour time-frame. On top of that, XRP’s options volume spiked by 240% following the Canadian XRP options launch in the United States (USA).

The long versus short XRP position ratio has also switched towards bullish. Long plays on the OG altcoin’s price outnumbered the short-sellers by roughly 2% as the ratio flashes 1.0251, says CoinGlass. Out of $4.57 million in daily liquidations, $2.97 million of this deficit was enquired by crypto bears, otherwise known as short-selling traders.
