Nexo has reaffirmed product compliance across the European Economic Area through a localized operating setup built around two MiCAR-licensed German partners.

Nexo Sets Up MiCAR-Based European Infrastructure

Nexo said its products and services remain available across the European Economic Area ahead of the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation entering into force. The company said its regional model connects its global digital asset wealth platform with licensed European infrastructure.

The setup divides custody and brokerage between two regulated partners. Tangany provides institutional-grade custody infrastructure for digital assets, while DLT Finance provides brokerage infrastructure for digital assets and financial instruments.

Tangany operates under a MiCAR licence. DLT Finance is licensed under MiCAR and also authorized under MiFID II, giving Nexo access to regulated execution and brokerage support within Europe.

Nexo said the structure was built to keep the customer experience stable while meeting Europe’s new digital asset rules. The company said clients in the EEA can continue using Nexo products without service interruptions.

Tangany and DLT Finance Support Custody and Brokerage

Nexo Chief Product Officer Yasen Yankov said the company had prepared for the European rulebook over a long period. He said, “MiCAR is the most consequential regulatory framework digital assets have seen in Europe, and Nexo has been preparing for а long time.”

Yankov said Nexo chose DLT Finance and Tangany after applying strict standards around regulation, technical strength, and client protection. He added that Europe remains central to Nexo’s global strategy.

He also said the testing phase had ended and all Nexo services were being provided in the usual way. Nexo framed the partner model as part of its long-term European operating structure.

Tangany CEO Martin Kreitmair said the partnership shows how firms can operate in the post-MiCAR environment through licensed custody infrastructure. He said the work between the three teams created “a blueprint for institutions navigating the European market.”

DLT Finance Senior Partnerships Manager Alan Kennedy said his firm supports Nexo with market infrastructure and execution capabilities. He said,

“The strongest digital asset platforms are built on infrastructure that clients do not have to think about, it simply works.”

Nexo Positions Europe as Core Market

Nexo said the MiCAR partner structure strengthens its European foundation as the region moves toward a common crypto regulatory baseline. The company said the model allows it to keep its wealth products available while using local regulated infrastructure.

The arrangement also separates client-facing services from the regulated custody and brokerage functions provided by partners. That model allows Nexo to operate its platform while relying on firms licensed for specific market roles.

The company said Europe remains one of its core markets. Nexo also said its global scale supports its regional position, noting that it ranked among the top three largest centralized crypto lenders worldwide as of the third quarter of 2025.

MiCAR creates a unified framework for crypto asset service providers across the European Union. Digital asset firms have been adapting operating models, licensing routes, and partner networks to meet the new standards.
