2025 Free Speech Center annual update
The new report outlines in detail the programs, projects, publications and activities of the Free Speech Center at Middle Tennessee State University. Highlights include:
- Publication of Teaching the First Amendment, a free teachers guide with extensive resources for educators.
- A guide to the First Amendment Encyclopedia.
- The year in review of developments concerning the First Amendment.
- A summary of the Free Speech Center’s extensive resources.
“2025 was an eventful and, at times, startling year for the First Amendment,” said Free Speech Center Director Ken Paulson.
“This report revisits how the center helped build support and understanding of our core American freedoms of speech, press, religion, assembly and petition,” he said.
