Altman’s World Adds Forecasting with Polymarket Mini App

Sam Altman’s identity-focused platform, World, has added prediction market access through a partnership with Polymarket.

According to the company’s announcement on October 21, this update enables World App users to participate in forecasting events directly within the app.

The Polymarket Mini App is now part of World’s mobile platform. It works within the World App, which also serves as a digital wallet and a place for users to verify their identity through World ID.

However, Worldcoin tokens are not available to everyone. The company has stated that access is limited by age, location, and other rules.

For instance, users in certain areas, such as New York state, are unable to receive WLD through the app. World also noted that it does not control where WLD might appear on third-party platforms or exchanges.

This launch follows World’s report that more than 100 million Mini Apps had been downloaded by October 2025. Mini Apps was first introduced in October 2024 and are designed to work inside the World App without needing to open other apps or websites.
