Last week, Westminster Magistrates Court ordered that all of Mr Linehan’s bail conditions be dropped after an application by Free Speech Union lawyers.
District Judge Snow ruled that the conditions were too vague and ordered that they be immediately lifted.
Mr Linehan welcomed the Met decision but said he still intended to take legal action and sue the Metropolitan Police for wrongful arrest and interference with his free speech rights
