Monad Airdrop: 230,000 Crypto Users Can Now Claim MON Tokens

The Monad Foundation has opened the MON airdrop claim portal as excitement builds for the Monad Public Mainnet. The MON airdrop distributes tokens to more than 230,000 recipients, including 5,500 core Monad community members and about 225,000 from the wider crypto ecosystem.

This massive airdrop aims to empower those who eat, sleep, and breathe crypto as the first stakeholders in Monad’s high-performance Layer-1 network. It rewards real builders, traders, and contributors, not passive speculators.

Claim Portal Now Open

The official Monad Airdrop claim site is live. The Monad Foundation warns that this is the only verified platform for claiming MON tokens. Participants should stay alert for fake or phishing sites.

Authentication runs through Privy. Users verify ownership of EVM or Solana wallets by signing a message. They can also link social accounts such as Twitter, Discord, Telegram, Farcaster, or email for additional verification.

The Monad Airdrop claim period is open until November 3, 2025. There is no advantage to claiming early, so users are encouraged to take their time and double-check authenticity.

Strong Anti-Sybil Protections

To keep the Monad Airdrop fair, the Foundation implemented strict anti-sybil measures. It partnered with Trusta AI to identify and remove bot-generated or multi-account claims.

Monad focused on hard-to-fake signals such as long-term DeFi activity, verified social engagement, and meaningful contributions to public goods. Two in-house tools — Monad Community Recognizer and Monad Cards — were developed to spot genuine users using both data and manual analysis.

Who Qualifies for the Monad Airdrop?

The MON Airdrop covers five main categories:

  • Monad Community: The largest share, reserved for long-term members who helped shape Monad’s early ecosystem.
  • Onchain Users: Active participants in EVM and Solana (SOL) ecosystems, including high-volume DEX traders, DeFi contributors, and NFT holders like CryptoPunks, Mad Lads, and Pudgy Penguins.
  • Crypto Community: Broader Web3 users, including Legion contributors, Backpack users, and members of Farcaster and LobsterDAO.
  • Crypto Contributors and Crypto Curious: Security researchers, educators, and students involved with SEAL 911, RareSkills, and SheFi.
  • Monad Builders: Developers from Monad Blitzes, hackathons, and ecosystem programs building natively on Monad.

Monad Airdrop Philosophy: Rewarding Real Users

The Monad Airdrop is designed to reward authentic engagement, not repetitive transactions. Instead of counting low-value onchain actions, Monad prioritized consistent participation and verified community contributions.

The Foundation describes its community as “the backbone of the network’s culture.” Early believers have driven a vision of a “decentralized, open, and permissionless future.” This community-first philosophy echoes the origins of Bitcoin and Ethereum, where conviction and collaboration powered innovation.

With the Monad Airdrop claim portal now open, Monad enters a new phase. The event rewards early supporters and signals the rise of a network built on both decentralization and performance.
